I am so sorry for being so inactive on dA ;^; I've basically been bombarded with a bunch of outside research work and my research partners in both classes have been scrambling along with me, also. 3 more weeks, and then just maybe, all of us will have some rest

I am hoping to get to my notes when I get home tomorrow night, since I'm just barely getting to read some of them and comments right now

About the adoptable:

When I first came up with his/its hairstyle, I honestly wanted to give the character a more showy design since his headshot here showed the exposed collarbone. After taking months to come up with the actual pose and design, I gave him a more conservative costume and a palette consisting of the majority of my favorite colors

_{I've actually never had an OC with this color palette, so please forgive me if I'm very attached to him. I think I saw a bit of a yandere in him...}

I absolutely LOVE this piece. I think it's the texture of the clothing more than anything that gives it that really attractive feel to it. The colours used are bold but not bright (something that sadly isn't used enough in these Japanese style drawings).
The white outline really sets it off for me. It gives it a slight glow and also makes it bold, as if it's sticking out of the page.
The clothing used and the hairstyle are very unique - I've never seen anything quite like them before that have actually had the impact on me like yours has.
Finally, the background is a fine match for the character, and I especially like the way the top section of the background is darker, as it brings out the colour of the hair more.
All in all, this is a fantastic piece, I cannot, and will not, pick any faults with it at all.
